She graduated from Lucknow University obtaining a first class first and married Mr Sonti Venkata Ramaniah ( son of Sir S V Ramamurti ) at Madras on 2 Jul 1942 . Mr Ramaniah was an Income Tax Officer then and later was in Business . Kutti worked as a free lance journalist and TV anchor and was well known in social circles until she passed away in Feb 2004 at Delhi . Kutti had only one boy who died as an infant . Madhav Prasad VMarried SARASWATI on Aug 1,1957. (DB 1936, and she died on March 05, 1997.) Joined the founding class of the then Inter(Joint) Services Wing of the Armed Forces (National Defence) Academy at Dehradun in January 1949 and retired as Brigadier in the Indian Army Ordnance Corps in 1987. Held several command & staff appointments in the Army having qualified in the Defence Services Staff College,Wellington ,the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi and from the College of Defence Management,Secunderabad. Travelled extensively and now settled in Secunderabad , AP , India.Their daughter is Vani V Vani VD/O Madhav Prasad.DB 1975 Jayaram V M.A.,Ph.D(1935)

She was appointed Chairperson National Commission for Women for a full term of three years. She has been the President , Guild of Service for decades. Now keenly indulges in creative writing on varied subjects and his writings are publlished in MINT, the Wall Street Journal and others. Now settled in New Delhi. Their daughter is Vani . Padmini V(1945) She was born in Lucknow. She married Ram Mani(DB 1933) on October 18,1964. She worked as the Head of the Dept of Foreign Languages in the British School in New Delhi. Later moved to Kodaikanal and worked as the Vice Principal of Kodaikanal Christian College, on her husband's retirement from service. Later she started "My School Surabhi" in her own estate at Kodaikanal. She started this as a charitable institution to offer free education to the poor children of its neighborhood. She is the Chief Patron and Trustee of the Institution. She is settled in Kodaikanal. Their children are Shiv Mani and Meenakshi Mani
